Monson, member of the Quorum of Twelve Elder Thomas S. Monson of the LDS Council of Twelve Apostles, will speak at Kolob Stake Quarterly Conference Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and 23, at the stake house. The meeting will be conducted by President Ernest A. Strong Jr., with general sessions at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Elder Monson was appointed to the presiding council of the Church in 1963. He is a former form-er bishop and stake leader. He was president of the Canadian Mission from 1959 to 1962. He was manager of the Deseret News Press, a commercial printing company, in Salt Lake City, before his appointment to the Church's governing body. Other visitors will be Elder LaMarr W. Poulton, of the Priesthood Missionary Committee, Commit-tee, and Mrs. Lucy C. Dutson, of the Primary Association. Elder Poulton was just released re-leased as bishop of Valley View First Ward after serving ten years. He has also served as president of the YMMXA, Aaronic Prieshood coordinator, are invited: high council advisor ad-visor to seventies and stake mission, stake Aaronic Priesthood Priest-hood committee, bishops, advisors ad-visors to the priest's quorums who serve as assistant chairmen chair-men for Aaronic Priesthood missionary committees, advisors to Aaronic Priesthood missionary mission-ary committees (which includes seventies on the ward prieshood e x e c u t ive committees, the Aaronic Priesthood-Youth general gen-eral secretaries, ward YMMIA superintendents, and ward YWMIA presidents), presidents of the seventy quorum, all seventies, sev-enties, stake mission presidency, and all stake missionaries. Also at 4:30 will be held a Primary meeting under direction of the Primary board representative for the stake Primary presidency presi-dency and board and ward Primary presidencies. Mrs. Dutson has worked in the Relief Society and youth auxiliaries of the Church, as well as the Primary. She has a bachelor's degree in home-making home-making from BYU and taught school for a brief period.
