JESSE WARREN, the former Miss Connie Whiting, making home in Mapleton following recent wedding rites. Miss Connie Whiting is wed to Jesse Warren, Mapleton derson of Bountiful, an uncle and aunt of the bride and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Warren of Gunnison, a brother and sister-in-law of the groom. At the guest register were Diana Williams and Marsha Erickson. Melanie Crandall, Elaine Jackson, Leah Crandall, De-lores De-lores Crandall, and Margie Hutchings arranged the gifts. Hostesses in the serving room were Hortense Harward and Nan Peery assisted by Karen Warren, Ann Whiting, Kay Whiting, Carolyn and Joan Crandall, Julie, Christine and Linda Crandall and Jane Harward. A beautiful 3-tiered cake, decorated with pale peach-colored rose buds and topped with tiny bells added to the decorative decor-ative theme for the wedding reception. Newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse W. Warren, received relatives rel-atives and friends at a large reception at Mapleton, following follow-ing their marriage April 23. The bride is the former Miss Connie Con-nie Whiting, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Niel Whiting and parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Welby S. Warren, also of Mapleton. The young couple are now at home at Mapleton, following a honeymoon honey-moon trip to Phoenix, Arizona, and Las Vegas, Nevada. For the all-important nuptial nup-tial occasion, the bride chose a delustered satin wedding gown, hand-made by an aunt, Mrs. Delores Crandall, with fitted princess-style bodice and pearl beaded applique trim. The skirt was bell-shaped with pearl beaded appliques adorning adorn-ing the front and falling into a panel in the back. Her veil was arranged to a pearl-beaded pill-box of wedding lace and nylon tulle and she carried a white orchid embeded in peach-colored peach-colored tropicana roses. Attending the bride were, Ila Whiting, maid of honor and Phyllis Forsey, Linda Johnson, Patricia Anderson, Evelyn Warren War-ren and Lynette Whiting, bridesmaids. They wore peach-colored peach-colored gowns with gloves and net hats and held a long-stemmed long-stemmed tropicana rose. Mrs. Whiting chose a green print sheath for her daughter's wedding and Mrs. Warren a blue sheath, accented by a white mum with peach-colored ribbon corsages. Morris Warren and Sid Whiting Whit-ing were best men. Greeting guests at the door were Mr .and Mrs. Reese An- Jeune Mere Club entertains guests An interesting program was funished members of the Jeune Mere Club for their annual Mother's Mo-ther's Day entertainment, when Mrs. Maurice Bird (Mary) at the request of the club, gave a review of her life telling how she began her muisc work and describing when and where she played some of her earlier pieces. In connection with her talk, she also played a number num-ber of her favorite selections on the piano. Mrs. Lenore Bills, Mrs. Beth Jensen and Mrs. Marilyn Tuttle entertained with Mother's Day songs, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Bird. Guests included Joy Nelson, Hattie Jensen, Mrs. Larsen Stewart, Sarah Telford, Patricia Patri-cia Haymond, Erma Lee Bills, Jean Bills, Beulah Whiting, Lynne Wright, Lily Cutler, Or-ril Or-ril Zabriskie, Viola Allan, Mrs. A. O. Thorn, Mrs. LaMar Tuttle, Tut-tle, Mrs. Alan Klauck, Mrs. Gilbert Johnson, Mrs. Robert Bray and Marie Morgan. The program was held in the forenoon, followed by a noon luncheon at the Social Center, at which officers of the club including Olive Bray, president; Fay Haymond, vice president; Louise Nelson, secretary, were in charge. The luncheon tables were pretty with centerpieces of lilacs li-lacs and tulips. If yon go through- life with a clenched fist, nobody can ever put anything into it. |
