Show Club sets prizes for art An interesting exhibit of the art work from the junior high school students is now on display dis-play in the new down-stairs wing of the Art Gallery, LaRell Francis, instructor announced this week. On Wednesday, May 19, the Cultural Arts Club of which Mrs. Grant Nielson is president, presi-dent, will award prizes and certificates cer-tificates to winners in the exhibit, ex-hibit, at a public meeting beginning be-ginning at 7 p.m. Parents, students stu-dents and friends are urged to attend. The exhibit will continue con-tinue through May. Including the work mostly of seventh graders, with some ninth grade, second half of the year, the display features water wa-ter colors, pictures done in chalk, photographs, glass mosaics, mo-saics, drawings, tooth-pick and soap sculpture work. Every time the price of hair cuts goes up it seems easier to forget to get one. The average American is bombarded wih 100,000 pounds of rain and snow a year. |
