Show Services held on coast for former resident Word has been received here of the death of Leo Grant Blackett, a former resident of Springville, who died May 1, 1965, at Downey, Calif., of cancer. can-cer. Funeral srvices were held May 3, at Bell LDS Ward Chapel and burial was at the cemetery in Washington, Utah, Thursday, May 6. He was a son of Frank and Lillian Blackett and spent his early life in Spriingville, attending at-tending schools here. He married mar-ried Celeste Iveson of Washington, Washing-ton, Utah, April 27, 1937 and moved to Calif., in 1939. He had made his home in Bell and had been employed with a livestock live-stock company as truck driver for many years. Besides his wife of Bell, California, Cal-ifornia, and mother of May-wood, May-wood, he is survived by four daughters; also a brother and three sisters all former residents resi-dents of Springville: Lewis Blackett, Lynwood, Calif.; Mrs. Beulah Bulkley, Mrs. Dorothy Nelson, Mrs. Jane Tousley all of Maywood. A brother, Glen Blackett, lost his life while driving truck for the same company as Grant, three years ago. |
