Show Letter to the editor Citizen abhors booth on library lawn From all appearances the little white house used for several sev-eral seasons as an Information Booth on the City Park, has found a new location in the middle of the library lawn. That is about all the front yard of the library building, which has been rather ill-kept the past few years, needed. Surely city officals do not intend in-tend to leave the little White House on the lawn. Perhaps just until the landscaping at the City Park or at the fire station across the street, is completed. But do hurry, it looks a sight now. Parking facilities in front of the library buliding are generally gener-ally bad. Tourists traveling south, may have a hard time getting to the booth. They can't make a U-turn at this intersection. It might be better bet-ter to cancel it out entirely than to leave it where it is. Rest room facalities at the library li-brary building are not adequate. ade-quate. The afternoon sun would glare into an attendant's face and surely it is not an inviting place for anyone to stop on a hot summer afternoon. It is certaiinly an eye-sore and one, the like of which no private business could get a permit to build on Main Street. A city tax-payer and voter |
