Show Club women to hold district meet Saturday The Nebo First District Federation of Women's Clubs, 17th annual convention will be ; held Saturday, April 18, begin ning at 9 a.m. at the Spanish i Fork Stake House, First South and Main Street, with William V. Wilson, co-publisher and editor of the Millard County Progress as guest speaker. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. along with a special meeting for district officers and department chairmen. At 9:30 a.m. the general session is scheduled with departmental work from 10:45 to 11:45. Voting Vo-ting will take place at 11:45 and at 12:15 p.m. luncheon will be served. Mr. Wilson, president of the Utah Press Association, worked work-ed on the committee of "Freedom "Free-dom of Information" at the National Editorial Association conference in Memphis, Tenn., last year. He attended Westminister College in Salt Lake City and Idaho State College in Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho. Departmental sessions will be held for the following: executive, ex-ecutive, presidents and secretaries, secre-taries, education, conservation, home life, fine arts, public affairs af-fairs and intrenational affairs. At home Mrs. Preal Friel is home from the hospital where she spent several days with painful pain-ful body bruises and lacerations lacera-tions suffered in an auto accident. |
