Show Tropical theme to highlight Junior Prom Should a stranger or any-ne any-ne for that matter, wander lto the high school gym Fri-ay Fri-ay evening, before the Junior Prom, he would feel like a "Stranger in Paradise." A large mural covering one end and the side of the gym, a real waterfall and volcano with a beautiful tropical sky (crepe paper) overhead all add to the delightful decor for a dance which class members are not likely to forget. Soft lights, decorative rubber rub-ber plants and other flowers and shrubs typical of the South Sea Islands, all add to the setting. Parents and friends are invited in-vited to see the decorations between 7 and 8 p.m. The dance begins at 9 o'clock and the promenade at . which the Juniors will be introduced; also the floor show, is scheduled for 10 p.m. Shirley Luce will sing the theme song. The Y's Men furnishing the music will be sitting in a little grass hut. Setting the theme for the dance was the assembly, Wednesday, Wed-nesday, directed by Gerene Cope and Bonnie Barney. Principal Omar Hansen and parents of officers of the class will be patrons at the dance. Make awards Sterling Price, chairman of Utah County bond sales, and Howard Maycock, acting for F. C. Packard, district chairman, chair-man, were in American Fork, Monday, to present an award to the Harrington School, which purchased the most savings sav-ings stamps the past year, among all schools in the county. |
