Show Pony Express to carry letter from Gov. Clyde Three riders of the Hobble Creek Riding Club will participate parti-cipate in a pony express, carrying car-rying a letter from Governor George D. Clyde from Salt Lake City, to Richfield, this Saturday, April 18. The event is being sponsored as part or Richfield's Centenial celebration. celebra-tion. The three participating in the ride from here will be Bryce Anderson, Ross Barney, president of the club; and Larry Lar-ry Losee. They will be intercepting inter-cepting the mailing piece around 11 a.m. and will travel Highway 91 to Levan before crossing to Gunnison and to Richfield. Furnishing horses for the pony express run is the Utah Appaloosa Club, which is sponsoring spon-soring this as a part of their program to adverr.-se their annual an-nual regional Appaloosa horse show in Richfield, May 22 and 23. The Appa'cosa breed is the oldest known horse breed and was introduced by the Spanish in the 16th Century. , |
