Show Mapleton couple takes wedding vows; to reside at Cedar City Presiding in the gift room were: Mr. and Mrs. Omar Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Peterson, Mrs. Flora Spendlove and Mrs. Ida Horrocks. The following evening an open house in honor of the newlyweds was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Lorr (uncle and aunt of the bride) in Lander, Wyoming. The couple will reside in Cedar Ce-dar City where they will continue con-tinue their education. Solemn rites preformed in the Logan LDS Temple, Dec. 27, united Linda Young and Max Arlin Bartholomew in marriage. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Young of Lander, Wyoming, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bartholomew, Barthol-omew, parents of the couple wittnessed the ceremony, as did Chad Winn of Nephi; Howard How-ard Horrocks, Salem; and Mr. and Mrs. George Crawford, Mr. and Mrs L. R. Swassey and Mrs. Marie Larsen. The same evening a reception recep-tion was given in their honor at the Mapleton Ward Chapel. Ray Young and Douglas Bartholomew, Bar-tholomew, brothers of the couple, greeted friends at the door. The bride was radiant under a hanging garland of aqua and white delpheniams. She was dressed in a floor-length gown of satin and brocade. Her veil of bride's illusion was crowned with a satin rose. Her bouquet was of red roses. Attending the bride in aqua blue dresse were: Jeri Lou Young, Lee Ann Bartholomew, Elaine Cooper, and Anna Lee Hansen. Little Dawn Jeanine Young and Mary Sue Bartholomew Barthol-omew were the flower girls in cranberry red dresses. The mothers both wore dresses of red wool with corsages of white mums. John R. Bartholomew acted as best man for his brother. Attending the guest book were Carol Lindsey and Carolyn Car-olyn Shepherd. Rowena Palmer acted as usherette. Assisting with the serving were: Helen Sovine, Joyce Bartholomew, Bar-tholomew, Cathy Larsen, Cathy Bartholomew, Sheri Evans and Venona Lonier. |
