Show Local musician in BYU concert A Springville musician, Robert Rob-ert Dalton, is being featured in the BYU chamber music concert con-cert next Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 8:15 p.m., in the Joseph Smith Auditorium. The concert is free to the public. Mr. Dalton, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Dalton Dal-ton of Springville, plays the viola. He joined BYU factulty this year after studying at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N. Y., and also in Europe with the world-renoun-ed violinist, William Primrose. Appearing also in the concert con-cert will be Gladys Gladstone, well-known pianist of the in-termountain in-termountain area, who has appeared ap-peared as solist with the Utah Symphony. Also Ralph Laycock, clarinetist, clari-netist, professor of music at BYU, and a former student at Julliards School of Music in New York. He is director of the concert band and symphony sym-phony orchestra. The program will consist of music by Brahms and Mozart. |
