Show 1 r I: i Five Mapleton people hurt in auto crash Eight persons five in one family were injured, none of them seriously, in a head-on crash Friday afternoon of last week near Sandy. The injured, all taken to the Salt Lake General Hospital and Salt Lake General Hospital and released after treatment for cuts and bruises were: John Robert Sayer, 46, Ma-pleton, Ma-pleton, and his wife, Erma, their children, Margaret, 13; Erma Jean, 4; and Robert, 15; jj Janes Hincks, 21, 3007 South jj State; Ronald Oliver Ison, 19, j 255 W. Plymouth Ave. (3800 j South); and Cathy Rigby, 16, 644 Conway Ct. (353 East). Martin Sayer, 5, was not in- j jured in the collision. '! Troopers Paul Hamblin and jj Howard R. Newman of the j! Utah Highway Patrol, w ho in- j vestigated the accident, said both cars were demolished. The auto driven by Mr. Ison was southbound and attempting attempt-ing to make a left-hand turn into a business establishment. ; The Sayers' auto was northbound, north-bound, Trooper Hamblin said. A Salt Lake County sheriff's rescue car was pressed into service to assist the County Fire Department in taking the injured to the hospital. |
