Show Cedar Pack wins 2 CEDAR CITY - Cedar Pack won two more games in 13-year-old action last week to remain undefeated with only one game left in season play; and Alpine Lanes picked up a big 13-5 win over Cedar Builders. Cedar Pack's 12-1 victory over Cedar Builders was led by singles hit by Tyler Smith, Kurt Gale, Chris Weaver and Richard Cano. Gale started the pitching, and Weaver finished. Tyler Smith started on the mound, and Weaver relieved him to pick up the 7-6 win over Miller Auto. The Cedar Pack team had to come from behind to squeak by the tough Miller Auto players. Hitters for the winners were Gale, Weaver and Todd Story. Big h hitter for Miller Auto was Greg Sanders with a double and a single, backed up by teammates Bob Park, Al Smith and Alan Rollo with singles. Scott Whittekiend led the Alpine Lanes team to victory with a home run and two doubles. Robbie Beatty also doubled and singled, and pitcher Steven Barrick singled twice. Other base hits were hammered out by Ryan McCoy, Curtis Tait, Ryan Maguire and Jeff Barton. Hitters for Cedar Builders were Brett Matheson with a double, Scott Hulet and David Bolton with two singles each and Brett Irons with one. |
