Show Industrial park, UP&L plan groundbreaking CEDAR CITY - Groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Cedar City Industrial Park and the Utah Power & Light Company service center are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the park just southeast of the Cedar City Airport terminal. At the ceremonies will be officials from Utah State, Cedar City, Iron County and Utah Power & Light including in-cluding Governor Scott Matheson'and UP&L vice presidents James Taylor and Sid Baucom. Following the short ceremonies there n be refreshments served in the airport terminal, with special displays available from the Cedar City-Iron County Indsustrial Development Council. The UP&L service center, which has been planned for some time now, will be the first tenant in the industrial park and will be approximately 8,500 square feet in size, according to Grant Pendleton, Pen-dleton, public relations director. It will contain engineering offices, a dispatch center, microwave facilities that will improve communications and four garage bays. It will be on a ten-acre ten-acre plot of ground. |
