Show Garden Park ends NL season unbeaten Garden Park survived the National League season undefeated (the first team in the National League to do so in 10 years) to win the championship. Their 7-2 win over Tink's was spearheaded by a homerun by K.' Blackner and doubles by M. Blackburn (2) and T. Robb. Gale went the I distance on the mound. Randall threw for Tink's. The final game of the season saw the champs grab a big 12-7 win over Arctic Circle as K. Gale put out a homer. He was backed-up with doubles by R. Imlay, K. Blackner (2), Goodwin and T. Robb. Gale also hit a double. R. Beatty went the distance. Throwing for Arctic Circle were Stapels and Pete. Other action saw Lion's picking up two big wins. The first was 20-6 over Town and Country with Braegger on the mound. Doubles were hit by K. Hinton, Peterson and Covington. Throwing for T & C were Nielson, T. Smith and C. Smith. S. Bradley doubled. It was a big 30-3 win for Lion's over Rons, with Hinton and Braegger on the mound. Hinton, Covington and Mercer doubled. Watson and Miller threw lor Rons with Watson doubling. Arctic Circle defeated Rolling Rubber 7-5 with Evans and Pete on the mound. Barrick went the distance for Rolling Rubber and also doubled. Elks defeated T & C 12-11, 12-11, led by a homerun and a double by Mitchell. Bulloch and Mitchell shared mound duty. For T & C Slack, T. Smith and Neilson threw and S. Bradley doubled. Town and Country defeated Tink's 14-8 with Shotwell, Smith and Neilson all taking a turn on the mound. S. Nielson led the scoring with a homerun and B. Matheson doubled. For Tink's it was Peterson, Roundy and Hofheins on the mound. Bettridge and Hofheins doubled. It was Elks 14 and Rons 6 as Lambeth tripled and Mitchell doubled for the winners. |
