Show Afton Parry nutrition in the community com-munity and church. She has also been ward and stake Relief Society President. She was active in Red Cross during War World II and was a member of the American Legion Auxilliary. She taught elementary school one year in Centerville, Utah; taught Home Economics for six years at Snow College, Ephraim, Utah and one year at Branch ' Agricultural College in Cedar City. She is survived by two daughters and a son: Mrs. M.H. (Geraldine Toni) Rennings of Valencia, Calif.; Dr. M. Dale Parry of Page, Ariz.; and Mrs. C. David (Carol Ann) Nyman of Cedar City. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Gronway Robert Parry Jr., and a daughter, Janice. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 6 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Dee (Virginia) Chamberlain of Cambria, Calif. Funeral Services were Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar Second Ward chapel. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery. AFTON LEONE PARRISH PARRY, 89, died May 23, 1981, at the Coopers Rest Haven in St. George, Utah. She was born Dec. 23, 1891, in Croyden, Morgan County, Utah to Charles A. and Mary Alice Whitaker Parrish. She married Gronway Robert Parry Nov. 30, 1922, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 2, 1969. She graduated from the University of Utah Normal School in 1911, the Utah State University in 1914 and attended Berkley University. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as a teacher in Relief Society and MIA, and she taught special classes in |
