Show MILFORD Society Clubs . THE LADY TRAINMEN held their monthly social Monday evening at the home of Vera Price, with Verna Tomsik and Barbara Smith assisting as co-hostesses. co-hostesses. Members attending were Eloise White, Joan Holland, ! Louella Fisher and Ruby James. All guests were awarded prizes. THE MEMBERS of Utahna Lodge No. 358 held their regular regu-lar monthly social in the I O O F Hall Sept. 6th, with Esther Blake, Pat Johnson and Ethel Smith as hostesses. Following the regular lodge meeting conducted by Kate McDonald, Mc-Donald, president, a nice lunch was served. The rest of the evening was spent playing bridge and -pi nochle. At bridge, prizes were won by Phyllis Erickson, Kate McDonald and Lucile Raines. Prizes at pinochle went to Fay Thompson, Winnie Johnson and Marjorie Harton. Other members mem-bers present were Maurine Miller, Mil-ler, LaVera Meeker, Lillian Fotheringham, Virginia Fowles, Margaret Lund, Alma Sly, Serai Fernley, Christie Lyman and Merlin Merryweather. NEWLYWEDS MR. AND MRS. DALE FOWLER greeted guests at a reception given in their honor Saturday evening in. the Milford L D S Church. The couple became husband and wife in a ceremony solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple Friday morning. Elder Mark E. Peterson Peter-son of the Council of the Twelve officiated. Friday evening the couple way feted at an open house at the home of the brdegroom's mother, Mrs. Arlie Fowler, in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin L. Sheriff, Sher-iff, the bride's parents, were hosts at the Saturday evening event The bride has been making mak-ing her home in Salt Lake. The bridal gown was a floor-length floor-length model of chantilly lace and tulle underscored with ruffled ruf-fled tulle and satin The bodice was styled with long tapered sleeves and a mandarin collar. Miss Catherine Sheriff, in a gold taffeta gown, was maid of honor. The other attendants Miss Jackie, Turner, Miss Geral-dine Geral-dine Fowler and Mrs. D. Vaughn McDonald, wore light yellow gowns. They carried bouquets of chrysanthemums in fall shades. Wilbert F. Fowler performed duties of best man. Ushering were Norman E. Lundell, De-Lane De-Lane Johnson and George Douglas. Doug-las. The newlyweds left the same evening for a wedding trip to the Utah Parks and Las Vegas. They returned to Milford Wednesday, Wed-nesday, and left Thursday for Salt Lake, where they will m-'-- "ir home. MISS NORMA SCHOFIELD, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alden 1-1. Schctield of Northboro, Mass. became the bride of Harlan U. Andtrson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Anderson of Milford, at an afternoon ceremony in the rnnily Church, Northboro, on Saturday, Aug. 31. Rev. David Cross of South-boro South-boro officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full-length full-length white organdy gown with embroidered organdy bodice bo-dice and overskirt, sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves. She wore a crown of seed pearls and irridescents with chapel length veil of silk illusion, and carried an old fashioned bouquet bou-quet of white carnations. The maid of honor was Miss Dorothy R. Hayes of Northboro. Bridesmaid was Miss Shirley Fortier of Worcester, and junior jun-ior bridesmaid was Miss Nancy Barrett of Marlboro. The best man was John Mac-Rae Mac-Rae of Collingwood, Ontario, and the ushers were Alden Scho-field Scho-field and Wendell Schofield, brothers of the bride. A reception was held at Trinity Trin-ity Chapel for approximately 125 guests, after which the young couple left on their honeymoon hon-eymoon to their home in Berkeley, Berke-ley, Calif. The bride is a graduate of the Northboro High School and attended Worcester School of Business Science. The grocm in p. graduate of Milford High School an ' of the University oi: uian. His fraternity frater-nity is Tau Beta Pi. He will attend at-tend the University of California this fall. THE 500 CLUB met at the home of Mrs. Essie Thompson Monday evening. Prizes were won by Mrs. Iola Carter, Mrs. Laura Lorentz and Mrs. Vernet-ta Vernet-ta McKnight. Other members present were Mrs. Elva Sedgwick, Mrs. La-Vern La-Vern Bunker, Mrs. Sofia Johnson John-son and Mrs. Lucille Raines. Mrs. Clara McFadden and Mrs. Flossie Rickerson were invited in-vited guests. THE E S A SORORITY held their regular business meeting last Monday evening in their eorority home, with President Helen Banks conducting. Mrs. Naomi Hughes, chairman of the Education program, presented pre-sented a lesson on History and Constitution of the United States.
