Abe Benedy has just returned from the salt mine with a load of salt. We have now a Relief Society and a Y. M. M. I. A. in good working condition. con-dition. Grandpa Benedy is very ill with the grip. He is 86 years old, but we hope he will soon recover. Aaron Leavitt and Albert Leavitt with their families have settled here, and will build homes. Farmers are getting ready to sow grain, lucern, etc. Prospects for cattle cat-tle this year are bad, if we don't have some more rain. Two families recently passed through here from Elsinore in -search of homes. They will probably settle on the Muddy. Their names are not known. We read in your last issue that Utah is going to try to obtain this part of Arizona, but we object to that and will do our best to keep it from going. |
