MORE BRIBERY CHARGES. Sensationnl Statements M.ide in Canon Regarding Nevada Contest. Carson, Nev., Jan. 2 ?. A sensational statement was published in the News which is demoted to the senatorial aspirations as-pirations of Congressman Frank New-lands, New-lands, charging- that Assemblj-man Leidy of Esmeralda county had been paid 50, and had been promised a position in the Southern l'acific office at San Francisco, to vote for the reelection re-election ol Senator Stewart. A counter-charge is made by the Stewart managers to the affect that Leidy was induced to remain away from the caucus through improper influences in-fluences exerted on behalf of New-lands. New-lands. lioth senate and assembly had adjourned ad-journed until Monday before this publication, pub-lication, but it is probable that an investigation in-vestigation of the charges will be made when the legislature reassembles, perhaps per-haps postponing the senatorial election, elec-tion, which is called for next Tuesday,
