Show Dixie Reviewers Launch Winter Program With Meeting At Memorial Hall The Dixie Reviewers officially launched their 1942-43 season's program Wednesday afternoon at th'e McQuarrie Memorial hall, when Mrs. Pearson H. Corbett reviewed re-viewed Alice Duer Miller's, "The White Cliffs of Dover", the book which is acclaimed as the outstanding out-standing story of the present war. Preceding the review, Mrs. Mack Jackson sang the song of that name, which is a favorite of the present-day war songs. Those who know Mrs. Corbett's ability at handling this type of story, will appreciate with what accuracy and fineness she read this book that is a continuous poem, one of the very unusual books written in verse, and a book portraying with emotion and high courage the spirit of England in the great struggle of her history. his-tory.
