Show Four Special Vocal Numbers Enhance Sunday Program Four special numbers gave added accent to the Community Sing held last Sunday evening in front of the Dixie college gym. These included, "My Little Grey Home In the West", by Allen Ruesch; "My Own United States", by Conrad Con-rad Fuller, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. Reid Fuller; "The Kerry Dance", by Gai Graff, Irma Woodbury, Flora Brooks and Enid McArthur, with Mrs. Pace at the piano; and "The Man In Khaki, the Girl in Lace", a real favorite from World War I, sung by Miss Roene Bigler, former Dixie college student, who came down from Cedar City for Sunday Sun-day night's sing. On special request, re-quest, Miss Bigler also sang the obligato for "God Bless America". Balancing this phase of the program pro-gram was a long list of World War I songs, including: "Long, Long Trail", "Tipperary", "Katie", "Keep the Home Fires Burning", and others; a group of folk songs and some religious numbers, with Marion Bowler directing in, "America, I Love You", and "There's Something About A Soldier". Vernon Worthen led in the "Salute to the Flag". I For next week the one request number thus far scheduled is a duet by daughters of Lieut, and Mrs. Grant Harris, others to be added. |
