Show Funeral Services Held For Former Dixieite Funeral services were held in Richfield Rich-field Sunday for Mrs. Lunes Barlow, Bar-low, 84, pioneer of Dixie and Richfield Rich-field and widow of John Barlow, who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eva Littlefield Little-field in Provo, of ailments incident to age. Born in Salt Lake City, March 21, 1857, she was a daughter of Oswald and Mary Jane Oliver Barlow. She was under five years of age when her family moved to St. George in the call of J8G1. Her father was one of the earliest Dixie musicians, and led the first St. George dance orchestra and band. She had her schooling in St. George. In 1877 she married John Barlow Bar-low in the St. George Temple and moved with him to Richfield, where she has since resided. Her husband died in 1915. She was an active L.D.S. church worker, especially es-pecially in relief society. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Hyrum Barlow and Mrs. Mae Hansen of Richfield; Rich-field; Ephriam Barlow of Enterprise; Enter-prise; Oliver Barlow of Salt Lake I City; Mrs. Emma Jane Jensen of American Fork and Mrs. Eva Littlefield of Provo; a sister, Mrs. Alice B. Bleak of St. George, a half sister, Mrs. Caddie Luke of Junction; a half brother, Willard Barlow, Junction; 24 grandchildren grandchil-dren and 38 great grand-children. |
