Show TOQUERVILLE Mrs. Rowena V. Slack Reporter Wednesday night a party was given for Ben Slack and Ellis Smith, who left Thursday for the U.. S. Navy. The program consisted con-sisted of a "Call To the Colors", played by Lewis Fish; readings, LaVema Bringhurst, Zona Reid-head Reid-head and. Addie Naegle; a skit under the direction of Avery Bringhurst; vocal solo, by Arvilla Jepperson; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Beatty; military dance, by Ruth Slack, Eleanor Jackson, Marlyn and Luzon Bringhurst, accompanied ac-companied by Irma Bringhurst; talks, Martin Anderson and Leo Bringhurst. Lunch was served and the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. Mrs. J. T. Beatty and son, Lewis, and daughters, Mrs. Hilma Beatman of Idaho and Mrs. H. Grant Terry arrived here Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Beatty has been visiting with her daughters for the past three weeks. George Slack returned home last Sunday from Salt Lake City, where he has been attending Hen-eger's Hen-eger's Business college. He will go to Salt Lake City on July 9th for his induction into the armed forces. Mrs. Arch Bringhurst and Mrs. J. L. Wallace returned Tuesday from Ogden, where they have visited vis-ited for the past week. Mrs. J. V. Adams and children, Larry and Maureen, left Sundav for their home at Cedar City after visiting for the past week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Slack. Mrs. Blaine Wood of Cedar City visited a few days last week at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson. Miss Laurel Jackson returned Sunday to her work at Tooele, after visiting here the past week at the home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs. H. A. Jackson. |
