Show BUNKERViLLETNev. Mrs. Mary II. Leavitt Reporter Mrs. Nathan Abbott is visiting in Logan, with her son, Max Abbott, who is in training at the U.S.A.C. Naval instruction school. Mrs. Ethlyn Waite returned from San Bernardino, Calif., after visiting with her brother, Wilford Robinson, who is stationed with the Army air force. Mrs. Agnes Leavitt and Mrs. Laverne Leavitt and baby daughter daugh-ter left Tuesday for Oregon to visit with their son and husband, Orlo Leavitt, who is attending a flying school there. Mrs. Laverne Leavitt and baby will remain there for the summer months. Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Waite left Bunkerville Saturday for their new home at Wilder, Ida. Miss Orla Leavitt and Miss Venna Leavitt spent Sunday at their homes here. Both girls are working in Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Leavitt received re-ceived word of the serious illness of their infant grandchild, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miles of St. George. The baby was operated on Monday at the McGregor hospital. hos-pital. Glenn Waite was sustained as new Sunday school superintendent to succeed Albert Leavitt. Mrs. Agnes Leavitt is first counselor and Walter Hardy, second counselor coun-selor with Mrs. Vera Waite as secretary. Harvest of beet seed, is under progress in the valley. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Leavitt and family left last Thursday for their new home in Nampa, Ida. Laurel E. Leavitt has been appointed ap-pointed the new secretary of the Bunkerville Irrigation company. The position was formerly held by Albert Leavitt. Warren Hardy and son, LaMar, are m Idaho looking for a prospective pros-pective farm and home. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Leavitt are spending the week in Los Angeles An-geles on a honeymoon trip. Mr. Leavitt's grandmother, Mrs. Lena Leavitt accompanied them. She will spend the summer there with her daughter, Mrs. Leon Bowman. Mila Adams and daughter, Carma, spent Sunday in Cedar City visiting h i s wife, who is spending the summer there for her health. Sunday Sacrament Services In our Sunday Sacrament serv-cies serv-cies the speakers were mothers of boys in the service. Mrs. William Wil-liam Leavitt reported on her son, Dorrel, who is in Texas studying in the medical department of the army. Her son, Vere, is in California Cali-fornia serving as an L. D. S. missionary. mis-sionary. Mrs. Lemuel Leavitt reported on her two sons, Orlo and Wendell. Wen-dell. Orlo is attending aviation school in Oregon and will soon receive re-ceive his wings. Wendell is serving serv-ing as L. D. S. missionary in New Mexico. Mrs. John Leavitt read letters from her son, Reed, who has been in Africa and recently sailed back and is camped in Arizona. He was guard of a shipload of German prisoners brought back to this country from Africa. |
