Show WASHINGTON Mrs. Caddie Neilson Mrs. Lydia Stephens t, Reporters Members of Mrs. Phoebe Prince's family entertained at a party on June 18 at the home of Mrs. H. W. Prisbrey honoring her 88th birthday anniversary. Mrs. Prince is the oldest woman in our town and has reared a large family, being the mother of 14 children. Mrs. Mary Allen left Friday for Salt Lake City where she will receive medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Walter H. Iverson have returned from Logan where they visited with their son, Merrill, Mer-rill, who is in the Navy, studying radio at that place. Mrs. Jennie Hall was hostess to the I. O. M. club last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. David Woodbury of St. George was an invited guest. Mrs. Antone Neilson and Mrs. Wayne Sandberg left Tuesday for Los Angeles. Mrs. Neilson will go on to Camp Cooke, where she will visit with her son, Junior, who is in the armed forces and stationed sta-tioned at that place. Mrs. Frank Hafen and son, Kay, left Tuesday for Provo to visit with relatives prior to Kay's entering en-tering military service. Ramona Sproul and Bonnie Adams left Saturday for Salt Lake City where they will spend their vacation. The Rook club met at the home of Mrs. Frank Larson on Wednesday. Mrs. Kulon Iverson of Toquer-ville Toquer-ville visited with Mrs. Eva Iverson several days last week. Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Larson of Hurricane visited with their sister, Mrs. Lydia Stephens on Sunday. Austin Iverson left Thursday evening for Farragut, Ida., where he will take his Naval basic training. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ewell and son, Sheldon, arrived Monday from Los Angeles to spend their vacation vaca-tion with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Neilson. Mr. and Mrs. William Gould of Las Vegas spent Monday and Tuesday here with relatives. Edwin L. West and his two small children of Los Angeles are spending a few weeks here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hall. Mrs. Claude Adams has returned home after a month's visit with her daughter and son-in-law and new granddaughter in Hawthorne Calif. Mrs. Chris Connell and Mrs. Alta Stratton of Lets Vegas are here visiting relatives. |
