Show In the Armed Services News from Our People Sgt. T. Semmons Writes Sgt. Thomas H. Semmons, writing writ-ing from Camp Adair, says the Army gave him a real turn at luck, when he received a TSgt. rating as radio technician, a medal of honor for good behavior, and a three-day pass to town to visit his wife, all at one session. In the service the past 14 months, TSgt. Semmons says he has had only one short furlough and one three-day pass to date. His wife is the former Beulah Earl of Virgin, and he figures he is a home-town boy. F3 R R Rockville Soldiers Home Cpl. Alpine DeMille arrived in I Rockville Jan. 7th to spend his ten-day furlough with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar DeMille. De-Mille. Pie is a technical advisor in field operations and is receiving special training at Camp Guern-say, Guern-say, Wyo. He was accompanied home from Cheyenne by his sister, sis-ter, lone DeMille, who was employed em-ployed there. ac Ralph Henderson was home from McCarren Field, Nev., Sunday Sun-day visiting his mother, Mrs. Le-tilia Le-tilia Henderson. Cadet Henderson is now receiving his gunnery training train-ing as a navigator in the U. S. air forces. Pfc. Sherman Russell spent Monday in Rockville visiting relatives rela-tives and friends. He is enroute to his post at Camp San Luis Obispo, after spending his furlough fur-lough in St. George with his mother, Mrs: Charles L. Walker. Pa 5 Pa Cpl. Hirschi Home On Furlough Cpl. Fenton Hirschi arrived Jan. 9th from Camp Haan, Calif., for a two week's furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Hir-. schi. He has been in military training the past nine months, receiving re-ceiving anti-aircraft gunnery training, the first four months at Camp Callan. Before entering the service he graduated from Hurricane high school and attended the U.S.A.C. at Logan for one year. He reports re-ports he is glad to do his part in the present situation but hopes he can soon return to complete his schooling otherwise, although he figures military training is good for any young man. |
