Show Visiting in St. George over last Thursday night and Friday were Ralph J. Bennett and Miss Audrey Banks of Caliente. They were guests of Mr. Bennett's aunt, Mabel Jar-vis. Miss Banks' mother accompanied them as far as Cedar City, where she remained to visit relatives. O'. .K. M 'k- Tv-Walter Tv-Walter Snow left Friday night for Salt Lake City on business. J. il- -W -W ' Calvin Cottam returned Saturday Satur-day from spending a month in Springville with Dr. and Mrs. G. B. Orton. his brother-in-law and sister. Hyatt, left Saturday Sat-urday for Provo to visit her husband's hus-band's family. m. TT- TC TT The Dixie camp of the D."U. P. announce their January meeting will be held Friday, the 21st at the home of Mrs. Maude Cottam. The meeting will begin at 3 p. m. A good program is 'being planned. J7. -y. Tf TV- TC Mrs. Wesley E. Hirschi, the former Allie Sanders of LaVerkin, visited last week in St. George, enroute to California to be near her Marine husband, Pvt. Hirschi, who is at the U. S. Naval hospital. hos-pital. Mrs. Henrietta Reed of Los Angeles visited over Sunday with her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. G. D. Hyatt, 'enroute to Parowan, where the entire family will assemble Jan. 14, to celebrate the 62nd wedding anniversary anni-versary of their parents, Herbert S. and Lucy Gunn Hyatt Word was received over the week end by Mr. and Mrs. George T. Thompson, that their daughter, Mrs. Karl Shakespeare, who has been in the L. D. S. hospital for the past four months has been recently transferred to the Salt Lake General hospital, and is making slow improvement. The Shakespeare's son, was was badly burned last March, is still in the L. D. S. hospital, where he is now receiving plastic surgery, and their little daughter is still, in St. George with her grandparents. tv Tv Tv-Mrs. Tv-Mrs. LeGrande Frei, the former Joey Covington, took the early bus Saturday for Greenville, N. C, to visit with her husband, Sergeant Ser-geant Frei, who is stationed there in military training. During her absence, their small baby is being cared for by her mother, Mrs. B. L. Covington. Mrs. Chris Egnew entertained the N. E. B. Pinochle club at her home last Thursday evening with honors going to Mrs. Gerald Blake and Mrs. Don Judd. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Cluff left Wednesday for New Mexico to spend several weeks with relatives. rela-tives. Miss Beth Morris returned last week to Los Angeles after visiting vis-iting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Morris. Lions District Governor Wesley A. Nelson and Lee Weibel, cabinet secretary, attended a meeting this week end in Salt Lake City of the state executive council. Governor Gov-ernor Nelson also me;t with a number of the northern Lions clubs. The St. George stake genealogical genealogi-cal committee desires to remind all members of the stake Mel-chizedik Mel-chizedik quorums of the 100 per cent Temple Week, Jan. 13 to 20, inclusive, urging all who can to attend one or more sessions during the week. The stake M. I. A. is sponsoring the play, "Sixteen In August", under the direction of Santa Clara ward. This is a budget play and will be presented Friday, Jan. 21st in the College auditorium. The public is cordially invited Mrs. Lindau Foremaster and small son, E. J. Foremaster left Wednesday morning for Los Angeles An-geles to spend a month with her daughter.
