Show WASHINGTON Mrs, Lenzy Hoopes Reporter Mrs. Barbara Zahner was happily surprised Tuesday evening when her brothers and sisters from Santa Clara, her daughter from Hurricane and her children from Washington assembled at her home to honor her on her 67th birthday birth-day anniversary. The evening's program included singing, readings, read-ings, tributes and visiting, with many of the family members and guests participating. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Stucki of Santa Clara sang several numbers in the Swiss language. Mrs. Zahner was presented pre-sented with many gifts. Mrs. C. R. Connell and daughter, daugh-ter, Barbara Jean came up from Las Vegas Thursday. They were accompanied by her father-in-law, Bert Connell, who is convalescing from pneumonia, and who will visit with his daughter, Mrs. Harold Prisbrey. Seymour Mitchell has been confined con-fined to his bed the past week with flu. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Williams of Blackfoot, Ida., were visitors Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes. They are spending the winter in St. George doing Temple work. Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Adams Sr., accompanied by Mrs. Lenzy Hoopes and children spent Thursday Thurs-day in Beaver visiting Mrs. Hoope's brother, Eldon Thomas, who is home on a short furlough. Miss Neola Zahner, Miss Gwen Turner and Miss Thora Tobler returned re-turned last week end from spending spend-ing the holidays in Los Angeles. |
