Show VIRGIN Minerva Earl Reporter A farewell party was given Saturday Sat-urday night for our boys leaving for the Army and Navy. Leonard Wilcox and Riley Matthews Mat-thews left Monday for service in the Army. Mr. Wilcox leaves a wife, who was formerly Yvonne Maloney. They were married last December. Mrs. Alice Jones Sandberg of Veyo was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Cornelius Saturday and Sunday. Clark Ballard and Merlene Stevens Stev-ens of Hurricane attended the farewell Saturday night. Clark and Grant were pals while in high school and college. Mrs. Jack Schofield of Provo is here visiting with her father, Sylvester Earl. Miss Odessa Matthews is here on a vacation from her work at Las Vegas. She will have her tonsils removed while here. Mrs. Leslie Wilcox returned from Bull Valley Monday evening eve-ning and will go to Boulder City to do excavating work for a defense de-fense housing contract. Mrs. Tom Seamans of Santa Clara came home with him to visit her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Niles Earl. B. M. Jones spent the week end at home from Las Vegas. |
