Show 'Nautical Notes' Lists Co. Boys Joining Navy This week's issue of Nautical Notes pays tribute to additional southern Utah boys who have recently re-cently enlisted in the U. S. Navy, which the issue says, exhibit the spirit once more of John Paul Jones, who when asked to surrender sur-render said. "Surrender. Hell, we hav'nt started to fight yot", as they add new chapters to the glory and history of the U. S. Navy. Enlisting last week at the Navy Recruiting station in Cedar City, were Dahl Gardner Merrill, 20, employee of Southern Utah Park's company, son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren E. Merrill of Snowflake, Ariz.; Paul Alger, IS, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zera Alger; Anson Perry Pickering, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest A. Pickering, and Wendell Drake, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Drake, all of Enterprise; Enter-prise; Delroy Lamond Craw, 19, son of Mrs. Loneva Banks of Min-ersville; Min-ersville; Lawrence Howard Newman, New-man, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Yergen Larson Newman, of Monroe; Mon-roe; and Sidney Robert Banks, 20,, husband of Mrs. Alice Marie Banks, of Beaver. |
