Show Drive To Stimulate Bond Buying Started In County Local Picture Show Houses Cooperate By Giving Free Tickets The Washington County War Bond committee has appointed "War Bond Commandos", to cooperate co-operate with the local picture show houses in the sale of War Bonds and Stamps in connection with a drive to increase the sales of Bonds and Stamps for this county. Washington county fell terribly short of its quota in August, Au-gust, which was $1900 in a quota of $17,900. The picture show industry in-dustry is pushing the sales program pro-gram to the fullest extent. The committee appointed was: K. M. Cannon, Neil Lundberg, Jos. S. Simmons, James Judd, Le-land Le-land Hafen, Henry Graff, D. C. Watson, George Pace, Frank Sta-heli, Sta-heli, Harold Miles, W. O. Bent-ley, Bent-ley, W. W. McArthur, Antone B. Prince, Clair S. Terry, Paul Seeg-miller, Seeg-miller, W. B. Mathis, Val McArthur, Mc-Arthur, have been appointed War Bond Commandos. Mr. Reber and Mr. Wadsworth are offering free tickets to purchasers pur-chasers of $25 War Bonds. The special push given by these men is surely needed in Washington county. Such civic minded men as the above Commando group and Mr. Reber and Mr. Wads-worth Wads-worth are out to make a better record for our county. The free ticket show will be given Sept. 28th and it is expected ex-pected that each Commando have his ten representatives for the sale of a Bond. There is a chance, too, for the youngsters to show their loyalty by purchasing $2.50 worth of War Stampus at the ticket window, whereby they, too, will get a free, ticket. |
