Show Winter Quarter To Start Monday At Dixie Jr. College Many New Courses Slated To Begin; Students Urged to Contact School The winter quarter starts Monday, Mon-day, December 2, at the Dixie college. A number of new students stu-dents have already planned to enroll, including 16 girls who will live at a dormitory provided for the NYA resident aid program. Students already in attendance are registering this week for their new course of study. A number of courses are offered to bing Monday. They include the following: Dairying, common ailments ail-ments of farm animals, genetics and eugenics, invertebrate zoology, zo-ology, personal health, bacteriology, bacteri-ology, orientation in education, principles of education, journalism, journal-ism, public speaking, oral interpretation, interp-retation, .debating, dialogue and scene presentation, dialects. State government, history of the foreign relations of the United Uni-ted States, English history, sociology, soci-ology, advanced nutrition, child development, quantity food preparation, prep-aration, costume design, consumer consum-er education, trade dressmaking, college algebra, differential calculus cal-culus , elementary photography, basketball, boxing and wrestling. There are also numerous choices choic-es in the field of art, business, survey of the physical sciences, English, music, orientation, mechanic me-chanic arts, trades and industries and physical education.
