Show Washington County Teachers To Hold Institute Here Friday and Saturday Noted Speakers To Be Presented On Two-Day Institute Meet The Washington county and Dixie junior college teachers will meet in an institute Friday and Saturday, Satur-day, Dec. 6 and 7. Speakers at the convention are as follows: Dr. L. John Nuttall, superintendent of Salt Lake City schools, Dr. Burton Bur-ton K. Farnsworth, director of secondary education, state board of education, Prof. B. F. Larson, Brigham Young university, Miss Maud Hardman, art supervisor, Salt Lake City schools, Miss Hazel Brockbank, University of Utah, and Mark Nichols, director of state agricultural education, reports re-ports Supt. Milton E. Moody. "The three general meetings will, we think, be particularly interesting in-teresting to the general public," states Mr. Moody. Dr. Nuttall will speak in the Tabernacle at 9 a. m., Friday on the subject, "We Extend Our Horizons". Prof. B. F. Larson will speak at 2 p. m., Friday in the Tabernacle on the subject, "Our Art Heritage In Utah", and Dr. Farnsworth, Miss Brockbank and Mr. Nichols will talk to the subject, "Teaching Possibilities In Our Environment" in the meeting Saturday at 9 a. m. in the college auditorium. "The larger meeting places have been selected so that we may accomodate ac-comodate the general public." |
