Show Center Ward Relief Society Conference Held In Tabernacle Sunday Night The Center ward Relief Society So-ciety conference was held in the Tabernacle Sunday evening following fol-lowing the Sacramental service. Pres. Amber T. Schmutz conducted conduct-ed the program under the direction direc-tion of Bishop Byron H. Taylor. Music numbers included congregational congre-gational singing, and a violin solo, "Elegie", by Irene Everett, accompanied ac-companied by Mae A. Pace. The officers of the general, stake and ward Relief Society boards were presented for sustaining sus-taining by secretary Vinnie L. Short, who also gave a brief financial fin-ancial report. Literary leader, Juanita Brooks, discussed the value of literary study for Relief Society women and in the home. Zora S. Jarvis outlined the Theology department lessons for year; Bessie A. Smith discussed the home relations and nutrition department, and Leila Atkin of the stake board talked on Relief Society work in general. Bishop Taylor expressed appreciation ap-preciation for cooperation of the board women in this organization and Mrs. Schmutz outlined the proposed bazaar to be held the second week of December for raising funds to equip the Relief Society kitchen in the Tabernacle basement. |
