Show Temple Ceremony Unites Miss Lillis Ence And J. Taylor Spencer, Fri. The St. George Temple was the scene Friday, Nov. 22 of the marriage mar-riage of Miss Lillis Ence, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Ence of Ivins to J. Taylor Spencer, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Spencer of Salt Lake City. Pres. Harold S. Snow read the ceremony which was attended by many relatives from Santa Clara and Ivins. Since her graduation from the Dixie junior college, Miss Ence has filled a mission for the L. D. S. church in the north central cen-tral states. It was while there she and Mr. Spencer, who was also a missionary, became acquainted. ac-quainted. She has been home from her mission more than a year, and has been active in the L. D. S. auxiliaries since her return. re-turn. Parents of the bride entertained entertain-ed at a reception in the Ivins ward chapel Friday evening, more than 75 guests attending. Her wedding dress was an old-fashioned model in pussy willow taffeta taf-feta floor length and without a train. Her corsage was of pink rose buds. Her attendants for the evening were Alene Worthen of St. George, Mae Gubler, Shirley Reb-er, Reb-er, Belle Leavitt and Herma Gubler Gub-ler of Ivins and Santa Clara, and Mr. Keith Latimer of Salt Lake City was best man. and his bride of Nov. 20, was the matron of honor. The evening's entertainment included in-cluded vocal and instrumental selections, se-lections, readings and toasts to the bride and groom. Saturday morning Mr. and Mrs. Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Latimer Lati-mer left for Salt Lake City where-they where-they will reside. |
