Show Sunday Schools of Stake Complimented On Work By Church Leaders The recent Sunday school union meeting of the St. George stake came to a most successful conclusion con-clusion with the inspiring instructions instruc-tions given by Doctors Martin and Irene of the general board. Although there are many problems prob-lems existing throughout the stake, the Sunday schools, as a whole were complimented highly because of their general uniformity uni-formity and efficiency. This banner will finally be given to the ward achieving the highest percentage on their monthly objectives, ob-jectives, such as libraries, music, punctuality, sacrament, etc. In order to create the proper spirit of cooperation and industry among the officers and superintendents superin-tendents of Sunday schools, it has been suggested that a certain night of the week be set aside as Temple excursion night. General Objectives To help to the utmost all members mem-bers of the organization to become be-come Latter-day Saints in the fullest and truest sense of the term. To develop faith in God, the Father, in His son Jesus Christ, our Savior, in the Holy Ghost, and in the plan of Salvation revealed re-vealed to man through Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of Truth whom Jesus sent, and restored re-stored to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. To develop in each individual a determination to consecrate his time, his abilities and his possessions pos-sessions to the perfection of the Kingdom of God on earth, and to help him to form habits which will realize this consecration. To develop realization of the meaning of the Kingdom of God on earth, e.g. universal brotherly love, eliminating all selfishness and furthering actions, both individual in-dividual and social, that are for the highest and most lasting good of all. |
