Show Camp Mounds, Wash. To Be Local Guard Camp The summer camp which the local unit of the National guard will attend at-tend is to be held at Camp Mounds, Wash, for two weeks. The men will leave here August 4 and return August 25, going both ways by train. Concentration of between 70,000 and 80,000 soldiers will be held in Washington. The Fortieth division divi-sion at Camp Mounds will attack the Forty-First at Fort Lewis. A practice battle lasting four days will be staged. Alt men will re ceive active duty pay while away on the trip. The men will leave on a special troop train. At the drill Monday night a night march with light pack will be held. The Guard will hold a work day at the airport Saturday afternoon. Ernest Bradshaw is a new recruit. re-cruit. Visitors at the Armory Tuesday included Colonel Portello and Coloned Saunders of the Ninth Corps area. The ordnance was inspected and equipment repaired re-paired on Tuesday. |
