Show Gunlock Mrs. Mary E. Leavitt Reporter There w ere several of our townspeople went to Mesquite Thursday to attend the fnueral of James A. Barnum. Mrs. Ralph McBride and two daughters and her mother, Mrs. Hunter arrived here last Wednes-: Wednes-: day night from Arizona. They are the guests at -the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Holt. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nurer of j Pioche, Nevada were here on their way to Mesquite, Nevada to at-. ' tend the funeral of their grand-' j father, James A. Barnum. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Jones of j Veyo were visiting at the home of ; his father, Hyrum Jones last Fri-l Fri-l day. Vernon Leavitt left Friday fori Idaho where he expects to sheer sheep. His sister, Florence accom- I j panied him and expects to spend j j the summer there with relatives. I Mr. and Mrs. Rowland Bowler of i j Enterprise spent several days here i where he was engaged in gathering ; I cattle to put on the reserve. j Ralph McBride, Wilford Holt, Edward Freigh, Anthony Belmont and Lee V. Leavitt took a crowd of twenty people up to Pirie Valley on a fishing trip. They were caught in a terrible cold snow storm during the night. The 4-H club meeting was held May 24 at which time the following follow-ing officers for the coming year were elected: Anne Neilson, president; presi-dent; Bemiece Holt, secretary; La-I La-I Vere Barnum, song and cheer leader; Berle Bowler, reporter; Lova Bowler, leader, and Berle Bowler, reporter. |
