Show Clean-up At Cemetery Reported As "Very Fine" Fine progress at cleaning up the cemetery lots is reported by Mrs. Roxey Romney, city councilman; She expresses her appreciation to the many "fine-spirited citizens who took time to clean up their lots". "On Saturday", says Mrs. Romney, Rom-ney, "a representative group contributed con-tributed greatly to the improvement improve-ment by turning out with rakes, hoes and shovels, and some with trucks hauled in new soil while others hauled away trash all of which contributed to the improvement improve-ment of the appearance of our cemetery. "To those who have salt grass on their lots, and do not feel that they can afford at present to plant lawns, the salt grass if cut several times during the year would furnish furn-ish much better covering than just the soil. "The Memorial program presented present-ed on Saturday was enjoyed by many and we take this opportunity oppor-tunity of expressing our thanks to all who contributed to the success suc-cess of the day, both in work and in the numbers given at the program." |
