Show Choir Members Prove Charming Guests As one of the drivers who entertained the choir members mem-bers on the drive from Cedar to St. George, we want to express our appreciation for .the fine spirit shown by those wh0 were our guests. We recently provided transportation for members of the legislature on their trip here and before be-fore that took a load of them to Boulder Dam, and we want to say right here and now that there was a big difference in the attitude of the two groups. The choir members showed their 'appreciation throughout through-out the entire trip, took a lively interest in the country through which they were going, and although weather conditions con-ditions were against them, were cheerful and interested all of the time. We are sorry to say that we can't report the same for our load of legislators. They seemed to take everything for granted and gave the attitude that it was all i coming to them. Well, perhaps it was, since every community that invited them, asked them something in return. j There was only one disappointing thing on the trip, i to us. And that was when we had taken them by the trash dump just outside of Zion National Park. It would seem to us that the people who dumped rubbish there would consider con-sider the fact that over 100,000 people will pass that point , and carry away with them an erroneous idea of the people who reside there. We take it for granted that it is only a ' few of the shiftless lazy who dumped rubbish. At any rate we believe that all will agree that something should be done ; to remove this eye sore and keep that section free of such i an unsightly thing as a rubbish dump. |
