Show Edna Bryant and Culbert Leany Married In First Ceremony At Temple Miss Edna Bryant became the bride of Culbert Leany in the irst wedding service to be held in the remodeled St. George Temple, Sunday August 14, at 2 o'clock. Pres. Harold Snow read the wedding wed-ding service uniting the young couple in the presence of the immediate im-mediate relatives. After the Temple service the newly married couple, the relatives and a number num-ber of friends gathered at the home of the grandparents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Win-sor, Win-sor, for the reception. More than 40 guests were present pre-sent among whom were Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Leany, their daughter Marzell, and her friend Durrel Covington, from Hurricane; Miss Gloria McAllister, from Blanding, and Miss Elizabeth Tooth, from Manti. Miss Tooth's friendship with the family of the bride dates back several years when she served serv-ed a mission in Indiana. After the guests had all assembled, assem-bled, Bp. Vernon Worthen sang the song, "O Sole Mio". He was accompanied on the organ by Miss Eileen Worthen. Then the bride and groom's own song, "Always" was sung by Miss Noma Andrews, accompanied by Karl Fordham. The words to this song were written writ-ten by the bride's mother, Thelma Bryant, and the music was written by Mr. Fordham. It was presented to the young couple with the expressed ex-pressed hope that they would "Always" "Al-ways" feel toward each other as they felt that day. After lunch the young couple left for a short honeymoon, destination unknown. On their return re-turn .they will be at the Hyrum Leany Sr. home for a short time, then they will go to Leeds for the winter. Special attendants were Miss Glenna Wilkins for the bride and Lloyd McArthur for the groom. |
