Show Pendleton's Backers List Her Qualifications A group sponsoring Alice Pendleton Pen-dleton for nomination as County Clerk and Auditor of Washington county, on the Democratic ticket have made the following statements state-ments concerning the duties of this office as well as the qualifications qualifi-cations required to efficiently take care of the responsibilities of this office. People acquainted with the work in that office know that the major part of the work requires stenographic steno-graphic training and experience as well as the ability to direct and organize. As the Clerk's office is the clearing house for practically all activities in the court house from the issuing and recording of marriage licenses to the probation of estates an ability such as Miss Pendletow has, to meet the public is an important requisite for this position.
