Show Bunkemlle, Nev. Mrs. Mary II. Leavitt Reporter Mrs. Nathan Abbott, returned from the Las Vegas hospital, where she has been for the last three weeks for medical attention. She had an operation for gall trouble. Her daughter, Mary, was also operated on for infection of her leg, which is now in a cast They are both confined to bed! to remain for several weeks. Mrs. Harley Adams was operated operat-ed on for kidney trouble at the Las Vegas hospital two weeks ago. She returned home recently but is still confined to her bed. Ray Adams, aged 12, had a narrow nar-row escape from serious injury when the truck he was driving overturned. He had been to the Mt. Spring for a load of water, a tank holding 700 gallons, and while making the turn off the the highway into town, he overturned, over-turned, bursted the tank, wasted all the water and damaged the truck some, but the boy got out unhurt, though dazed and excited. People of the town heard the crash and rushed to the scene helping set up the truck. Quite an excitement was caused here when it was reported by Lem Leavitt that a boy was lost in Cabin Mountains. Ho had been following his horses which had strayed from the sheep camp and was gone for two days. A group of men left here on Sunday night to help in the search but he returned re-turned to camp in safety. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hardy and Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Leavitt spent Monday in St. George on business. Mrs. Alva Hunt was rushed to Las Vegas hospital for medical treatment last Sunday. Sacrament meeting was under the direction of the missionary committee on Sunday. Warren Hardy was in charge. Speakers were Merrill and Ferron Bunker and Fielding Hardy. Musical numbers num-bers were: a duet by Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Carl and Mrs. Vincent Leavitt and a solo by Ferron Bunker. These two brothers are here from Reno visiting their mother, Mrs. Hector Bunker, who is seriously ill. Mrs. Wanda Abbott returned to her home in Reno, after spending three week here with her mother, Mrs. Hector Bunker. |
