Show Three Scout Leaders Complete Course In Scout Leadership Three local Scout leaders Monday night completed the elementary course in Scout leadership and will be awarded certificates at the court of honor. They are: Maiben Ashby, Scoutmaster of Troop 403; Pratt Prince, Scoutmaster Scout-master of Troop 401; and George Jay, Scoutmaster of Troop 404. Several other men participated in part of the sessions, but these three completed all the prescribed pres-cribed work. Heber Thompson, local chairman chair-man of leadership training, was In charge. He was assisted by B. Glen Smith, district commissioner; Leo G. Smith, local chairman of activities; and W. W. McArthur, chairman of the district committee. commit-tee. B.-S.-A. The Scoutmasters round table for December will be held in- the Scout room of the South ward chapel Sunday, December 15, at 2 p. m. B.-S.-A. Scout Meet Six representatives from St. George attended the Utah Parks council meeting held at Richfield Saturday night. They were W. W. McArthur, Heber Thompson, Leo G. Smith, Lloyd McArthur, Clarence Clar-ence Snow and Donald Schmulz. Training sessions were held for all department heads, and an exceptionally ex-ceptionally large crowd was present pres-ent from throughout the wide area of the council. Ordinarily the council meetings are held in Provo, but this new idea is being tried out in the t llr''r-v; that ;i larger attendance will be hex!.
