Send Greetings . . . - Itep3$& if THRU the BIG TUESDAY HEWS CHRISTMAS EDITION of DEC- 2 Plans are now complete for a big two-color edition of this Issue to carry the annual Christmas Greetings of the St George merchants, clubs and other organizations. organ-izations. This edition will be in the usual tabloid size published on Tuesday, but from present Indications will carry many additional pages. Along with the usual news, it will feature stories about Christmas and special feature articles. There will be a story about the first Christmas In St. George and other similar stories. CHRISTMAS POEM CONTEST: The News will also sponsor a Christmas poem contest with the winning three poems being published in this issue. Prizes of $10 in trade (with any merchant merch-ant whose ad apjiears in tho special edition) for first I prize, one two-year subscription to tho Washington County News as a second prize and a one-year subscription sub-scription for third prize will be offered. Judging will be done by members of the Dixie College faculty. No one in the immediate family of the Judges and no one : connected in anyway with the News stuff will be eligible. Poems will be judged on the following basis: 40 Reader Appeal. 40 For Presentation of Theme. 20 For Gramatlcal Construction and Neatness. I Poems Should Not Be Shorter Than I 25 Lines or Longer Than 50 Lines. Here's your chance to show your ability as a poet j and win a real Christmas present for yourself.
