Show State WPA Records Supervisor here Wednesday Ralph E. White, state supervisor of WPA records survey arrived in St. George Wednesday to collect past records of that department in Washington county. Mr. White explains that the Government is transferring all past records to (Continued: on page eight) WPA Supervisor (Continued from first page) microfilm records which will reduce re-duce the required storage space approximately 95 per cent. This process of permanently filing fil-ing records is proving of great service in many lines of work, but in none can it prove of more value than this particular field, suggests Mr. White, since filing space required is increasing year after year, as the Government, state and county units launch new programs. To wind each year's records on a few feet of microfilm micro-film is the objective of the present pres-ent set-up. |
