Show Amusement Hall Dedicated In Rockville President Hirschi Praises People For Their United Effort and Spirit By MARCIA TERRY ROCKVILLE, Utah. An interesting interest-ing program was given Sunday evening, December 8 at the Amusement hall, that is being erected, when a paper containing a history of the ward's work in obtaining funds and the list of contributors for the hall was put into a bottle and sealed in the corner stone. Sacramental services began at 7:30 p.m. After these, Bishop Ballard expressed appreciation for the efforts and contributions that had been made. The audience was then told to re-assemble at the amusement hall grounds where the program continued. A double mixed quartet comprised of the mesdames Lamar and Em-maline Em-maline Terry, Arvena DeMille and Augusta Obrien and Newell DeMille, Garth Jones, Alma Cox and Dale Despain sang, '-Carry On". President Claudius Hirschi, complimented the people on what they had accomplished by united effort in the past and expressed the hope that they wbuld carry (Continued on page eight) New Rockville Hall (Continued from first page) on with the same spirit. He spoke of those who had enjoyed dancing danc-ing the old dances in our old meeting house and said he hoped they would once again enjoy themselves in our new amusement hall, a pleasure which had so long been denied them. Bishop Ballard then read the article that was to be placed in the bottle with a list of contributors contribu-tors and Elder Dee Cox, ward clerk, sealed it up in the southeast south-east cornerstone of the new hall. The audience sang, "Put Your Shoulder To the Wheel". |
