Show RUTH ORCHARD FAWCETT DIES Funeral services were held in the Stake Tabernacle Monday March 12, for Mrs. Ruth Orchard Fewcett 8 6. Mrs. Fawcett was born in Bulk-ington, Bulk-ington, WiUhire, England, August 25, 1847, the daughter of Jacob and Susihonnab Harding Orchard, She with another sister of the family were baptized in the L. D. S. Church when she was eight years old.. She with her mother two sisters and two brothers sailed for America on June 20, 18 68 arriving in New York sever weeks later. They took the train from New York to Benton the western terminal of the railroad From here they traveled by Ox team, to Salt Lake City arriving June 21. She met Nephi Robert Fawcett on her way to America and they were married in the Endowment house by George A Smith on Saturday September 2 6, IS 68. On the following Monday Mon-day they started by mule team for St. George where they arrived eight days later. Seven years af ter their marriage they were called call-ed to settle Heoervil.e, later called Price, where they settled anden-dured anden-dured with the other pioneer settlers set-tlers all the privations and hardship hard-ship of those early days. Thirty years later she moved with her family to St. George where she has lived since. On December 16, 1915 she was se' apart by President David H. Cannon to work in the St. George Temple where she has labored the past eighteen years. She is survived by the following follow-ing children: William A. Fawcett Faw-cett of Hurricane, f!eil O. Fawcett Faw-cett of Dameron Valley, Mts. Susie F. Atkin, Jed R. Fawcett and Fred Fawcett of St. George and Luella F.
