Show WOODWARD SCHOOL NOTES Miss Seegmiller's class won the spelling contest held between the two fifth grades last Friday. Those who remainded standing the longest long-est were Manda Sorenson, Iona Blazzard and Mildred Bentley. A spelling contest is to be held Friday morning at 10:45 to select the six best spellers to represent the school in the district meet to be held February 20. The district includes Washington, Leeds, San- j ta Clara and St. George, and six j spellers are to be chosen from i each school. i I Many of the grades are preparing prepar-ing programs for Lincoln's birthday. birth-day. 1 From an enrollment of 571 stu- ' dents at the end of the first month, the school has gradually grown to 613 students at the end of the fifth month. The teachers are anxious for the parents to make any suggestions they may wish. The faculty fc-cls that they can do better work with the support of the parents and their cooperation, and are anxious to keep the school up to a high standard. |
