Show COMMISSIONERS PLAN PERMANENT ORGANIZATION To provide greater cooperation among Utah's counties and to work together for a common benefit, bene-fit, county commissioners of fifteen fif-teen counties assembled in Salt Lake City last Thursday to organize organ-ize a permanent association. Among those in attendance were H. T. Atkin, Francis J. Bowler and Morris Mor-ris Wilson of Washington county. It was shown at the meeting that through organization, problems prob-lems and policies common to all counties could be discussed and cooperative co-operative action taken. The association asso-ciation also planned to be intsru-mental intsru-mental in obtaining legislation for the benefit of county governments. One of the first problems to be attacked, the commissioners agreed, will be to have county officials consulted in a contemplated designation des-ignation of state highways by the state road commission. |
