The town boys likewise scored 3 in the last of the 5th and "were never tied again. The big inning tor the town team came in the 7th, when they ran in 7 scores and thereby-put thereby-put the game in the bag. Manager Thomas used thirteen men, giving every man that turned turn-ed out a chance to show what he had. He reports himself as well pleased with the showing of the team considering that this was their first game of the season. While he realizes there were a number of bad errors, he discounts dis-counts them and feels that the rough spiots will be ironed out before the regular league "games start. Peterson did a nice job for the camp for the first part of the game, and had he received good support, might have lasted the full game. In the first three innings, he struck out 4 men, but his support started to fail after that and the St. George team started finding its batting eye. E. Lund started on the mound for St. George and pitched nice ball to 'fan 5 out of the first 6 men and 9 during the five innings in-nings that he was in the game. He was followed by D. Lund who fanned 3 in two innings and kept the opposition from scoring. Dennett, a new pitcher for the St. George team, gave promise of (Continued on page eight) BASEBALL GAME (Continued from first page) developing into a regular, by fanning five men in the two innings in-nings he was on the mound. All Bf the boys looked a little ragged, p. Wilson made the sensational sen-sational catch of the game. R. Wilson made a three base hit, the longest for the town team. Price held the best batting average, getting 3 hits out of 5 times at bat. One of the odd features of the game was that only one put out was made at first base by the St. George team, and they were credited with only one assist. Summary Struck out by, E. Lund, 9, D.
